Student Activities Office

Located in the Skillern Student Union Building, the Student Activities Office offers a variety of quality recreational programs and services, including the sale of special discount tickets to popular entertainment venues such as Six Flags over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, movies, theaters, and sports events. Group travel packages are offered annually, and the office conducts special social events on campus throughout the year. It also sponsors intramural activities, sports, classes and special-interest clubs. Detailed program information can be obtained by calling 648-3578.

Eating Facilities

The Gallery Cafeteria provides a variety of dining options, including full meals, sandwiches, soups, salads, hamburgers, pizzas, and desserts. The selections are reasonably priced and designed to appeal to a wide variety of tastes. The daily menu also includes health-wise selections.

Located on the South Campus, the Gallery Cafeteria is arranged in a food court that allows easy access to all of the food-service stations (grill, specials, hot entrée, delicatessen, soups, salads, sandwiches and desserts). Seating areas include an inside dining area and an outside patio area.

Various types of vending machines are located in most buildings throughout the campus.

University Store

The University Store, located on the first level of the Gooch Auditorium, is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The store sells a full line of office and school supplies, professional coats, health products, cosmetics, medical instruments and supplies, sports wear, books, magazines, computer software, snacks, nonprescription drugs, greeting cards, and stationery.

University Library

The UT Southwestern Library offers a complete range of library services at both its North and South Campus locations to faculty, staff, and students. The South Campus library, located in the Fred F. Florence Bioinformation Center, is open from 7:00 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday; 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday; 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday; and 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Sunday.

University Cashier

The Cashier's Office provides a variety of services, including cashing personal checks up to $100 for faculty, staff, and students with a valid UT Southwestern identification card. The Cashier's Office reimburses approved petty cash expenditures, distributes parking tokens via Interdepartmental Requisitions, receives cash deposits, receives payment for traffic citations, and issues parking refunds.

UT Southwestern follows a neutral reference policy with respect to the attributes of present and former employees. Therefore, it will only confirm the dates of your employment, current or last job title held, employing department, and eligibility for rehire. Salary information will be provided to external sources only upon your written authorization or pursuant to a proper request under the Texas Public Information Act.
